Chad's amazing artist abilities are inspired by the Southwest Colorado wilderness, where he has carved a number of scultures out of existing dead trees. Visitors and residents of Pagosa Springs have admired his work in Town Park, where his three tree carvings resulted in the Parks and Recreation Department of Pagosa Springs, CO receiving the 2005 Columbine Award.
